Suds cooling or extra rinse required

The washing machine is on a very economical water consumption set-
ting. It may however be necessary to cool down the suds before pump-
ing them out, to avoid damage to the plastic drainage hoses (suds
cooling).
For people who suffer from a washing powder allergy, it may be helpful
to rinse with extra water (extra rinse cycle). This can be set with the
extra water button:
Position 1: Cooling down suds
The suds are cooled down before the water is pumped out at the end of
the main wash (by adding cold water). (This setting is only effective for
COTTONS/LINEN at a temperature of above 40 °C.)
Position 2: Cooling down suds and extra rinse
The suds are cooled down as for position 1, in addition to this (except
for WOOLLENS setting) an extra rinse cycle is carried out.
On delivery of the machine the extra water switch is in the 0 position.
Due to the process of cooling down the suds or an extra rinse cycle, the
3
water consumption and wash time is increased.
Setting:
0 Pull the washing powder compartment out, until
the extra water switch on the left of the frame is
accessible.
0 Set the extra water switch to
1 (suds cooling) or
2 (suds cooling and extra rinse).
