Section 3 - Installation - Access Point
1. The DIR-895L is designed to give you the fastest, most stable network connection possible. In order to maximize performance, fully extend
the antennas to provide optimal wireless coverage. Position your DIR-895L near where you wish to extend Wi-Fi to. Place it in an open area
for better wireless coverage, but is still within range of your existing wired network using an Ethernet cable. Inspect the mode switch to
ensure that it is in EXTENDER position. Adjust the switch if necessary.
2. Connect the supplied power adapter to the DIR-895L and a power outlet.
Note:
Extending the network to your desired location via Ethernet may require the purchase of additional cable.
Maximum CAT5e cable length is limited to 100 meters.
Use a Gigabit-capable Ethernet connection where possible to ensure the best networking experience.
This unit is to be used with power supply model DA-60N12.
3. Press the power button, and verify that the power LED is lit. Allow 1 minute for the router to boot up.
