FEATURES - OPERATIONS

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Wattage: 1500W (+5% –15%)
  • Working voltage: 120V AC/60Hz

PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Carefully remove your heater from the box. Please save the carton for off-season storage.
  2. Make sure the heater is OFF before plugging the heater into the outlet.
  3. Place heater on firm, level surface.
  4. Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other high wattage appliances in the same outlet. At 1500 Watts, this unit draws 12.5 Amps.

NOTE: This unit is for FLOOR USE ONLY.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Wheel Bracket Assembly
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS - Step 1

  1. Remove the wheel bracket kit from the package & check to ensure all parts are accounted for.
  2. Turn the heater block bottom side up and place it on a soft surface.
  3. Take the wheel bracket and place the smaller buttress into the preformed slot on the fin.
  4. Place a U-bolt across the bridge between 1st and 2nd fins at end of the heater block as shown in Figure 3, and insert both ends of the U-bolt through the holes of the wheel bracket.

  5. Tighten the wing nuts securely on the U-bolt.
  6. Repeat step 3-5 to assemble the second wheel bracket.
  7. Turn the unit upright and place on flat ground. Check the heater stability. Readjust the wheel bracket if necessary.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Set the MODE Control to the OFF ( ) position.

Plug in heater. The power light will illuminate and remain lit when the heater is turned on..

For heater operation, set the Thermostat control all the way to HI ( ).

Turn the Heat Setting Control to desired heat setting (LOW for 600W, MED for 900W, or HIGH for 1500W).

SETTING THE THERMOSTAT

  1. Set the Thermostat control all the way to HI.
  2. When the desired temperature/comfort level is reached, lower the thermostat control setting until the heater stops operating.
  3. The control will now automatically maintain the preset temperature level by turning the heater ON and OFF.

NOTE: The Power light will remain lit during operation.

NOTE: It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unit from cycling, you need to raise the thermostat setting.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY TECHNOLOGIES

Auto Safety Shut-Off
This heater is equipped with a patented, technologically advanced safety system that requires the user to reset the heater if there is a potential overheat situation. When a potential overheat temperature is reached, the system will automatically shut the heater off. It can only resume operation when the user resets the unit. For specific reset instructions please refer to the unit.

To Reset the Heater
If the unit shuts down:

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Wait 30 minutes for the unit to cool down.
  3. Plug the unit in again and operate normally.

360° Tip Over Shut Off
When the unit is accidentally knocked over in any direction, it will instantly shut off. To reset, simply place the heater in an upright position on a level surface.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE

During Season Care:

  1. Always unplug the heater before cleaning.
  2. Clean the unit with a soft damp cloth. Please be very cautious near the metal fins.
  3. NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean the unit.
  4. After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel.

After Season Care:

  1. Store heater in a cool, dry location.
  2. The manufacturer recommends that you store the unit in its original carton.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If your heater fails to operate:

  • Make sure the electrical outlet and circuit breaker are working.
  • Check for obstructions. If you find an obstruction, turn OFF and UNPLUG the heater. Carefully remove the obstruction and follow the reset instructions.
  • The thermostat might be set too low. Turn the thermostat and/or the mode control clockwise to a higher setting until the heater restarts.

Please DO NOT attempt to open or repair the heater.
