The Remote Control

CLEAR Removes on-screen menus and displays.
DVD Turns on the DVD player and puts the remote in DVD mode so it operates the DVD
player.This button is not programmable.
FORWARD Searches forward through the disc.
GO BACK Returns you to the previous menu.When watching TV or satellite, goes back to the
previous channel.
INFO Displays the on-screen Info Display (for details about the Info Display, go to page 20.)
INPUT Accesses the Input Jacks of compatible TVs. (The remote must be in TV mode).
LIVE This button has no functionality with this product.
MENU When the disc is stopped, accesses the DVD player's menu.When a disc is playing,
accesses the disc's menu, if one is available.
MUTE Lowers the volume to its minimum level. Press again to restore volume.
OPEN•CLOSE Opens and closes the disc tray on tray-load models, ejects the disc on slot-load
models.
OK When a menu is on the screen, selects the highlighted item.
ON•OFF Turns the DVD player on and off. In TV or SAT mode, turns off that device.
PAUSE Pauses disc play or recording.
PLAY Begins disc play.
RECORD This button has no functionality with this product.
REVERSE Searches backward through the disc.
SAT•CABLE Puts the remote in Satellite or Cable Box mode in order for the remote to
operate a satellite receiver or cable box.This remote is capable of being programmed to operate
many brands of satellite receivers and cable boxes. It is already programmed to operate most
RCA, GE, and Proscan brand satellite receivers.
STOP Stops playback.
GUIDE Displays a type of disc menu when the disc has been formatted to include it.
TV Puts the remote in TV mode in order for it to operate your TV.This remote is already
programmed to operate RCA, GE, and Proscan brand TVs. It is capable of being programmed to
operate many brands of TVs.
VOL +/- If your remote is capable of operating your TV, increases and decreases the volume
level.
ZOOM Enlarges the image on the screen so you can zoom in on details.To pan and scan after
you've zoomed in on an image, use the arrow buttons.The Zoom feature isn't available on all
discs.Typically, it works with DVD discs and CDs with JPEG files.
