Repair

Disconnect the Displacement
Pump Lower
1. Perform the Pressure Relief Procedure, page 6.
2. Disconnect fluid hoses.
3. Unscrew the tie rod nuts (4) from the tie rods (2).
4. Unscrew the coupler (5) and remove the coupler
collars (6).
5. Carefully pull the displacement pump lower (3) off of
the air motor (1).
6. Refer to:
Your pump lower manual for pump repair and
maintenance instructions.
Disconnect the Air Motor, page 10, for air motor
removal instructions.

Connect the Displacement
Pump Lower
1. Rotate the pump lower (3) so that the fluid outlet (7)
faces the direction shown in F
the displacement pump lower (3) on the tie rods.

2. Screw the tie rod nuts (4) onto the tie rods (2).
Tighten the tie rod nuts evenly. Torque the nuts to
15-20 ft-lb (20-27 N•m).
3. Install the coupler nut (5) and the collars (6) onto the
displacement rod of the pump lower and then
connect to the air motor rod.
4. Hold the flats of the air motor (1) rod with a wrench.
Then use another wrench to tighten the coupling nut
(5). Torque to 75-80 ft-lb (31-35 N•m).
5. Reconnect all fluid hoses.
6. If the ground wire is in use, verify that the ground
wire is still connected.
7. Fill wet-cup (B) half full of Graco TSL.
