You can change the setting for the Auto Muting function so that the function does not turn on.
1.
Tap the menu items in the following order and remove the check mark for [Auto Muting].
– [Settings] – [Output Settings] ([Basic Settings]) – [Auto Muting] ([Headphone Output]).
Even if you turn off the Auto Muting function, the function will turn on in the following cases. These are situations where
the output level of the headphone jacks on the player changes drastically.
When you turn the [Direct Source (Direct)] function on or off while headphones are connected.
When you change the setting for [High Gain Output] while headphones are connected.
Note
If you turn off the Auto Muting function, the volume from the headphones may become extremely loud. Be very careful not to
damage the headphones or your ears.
