Activating position detection via SMS
Configuration of the position detection function can be conducted externally using an SMS
message protocol. You can obtain this protocol from your provider.

11. Messages

From this menu, you are able to send SMS and MMS. MMS is a Multimedia Message Service,
which allows you to enclose audio files, images and other rich contents to your messages.
These messages can even be composed of several slides. MMS messages are invoiced diffe-
rently than SMS. Please contact your network provider to get more information on their cost.

Compose SMS messages

In the Messages menu select the Compose menu and validate. Choose the SMS option. The
language used is the one selected on the display of the phone. If the language selected is not
compatible with the Easy Message T9™, English will be automatically selected.
When typing a text, a counter showing the number of characters deducted is displayed at the
top of the screen. This counter is not displayed if an icon or sound is inserted into the SMS.
When the text has been entered [Options] is used to access the functions offered.
- Save is used in order to save a draft in memory
- Mode ABC (see page 94)
- Mode 123 (see page 94)
- T9 options (see age 93)
- Cancel deletes the entered text and exits the function.
- Activate/Deactivate Zoom is used in order to change the size of the characters.
- With the option Activate/Deactivate Silent you can switch the key tones off or on when
entering text.
- Formatting is used in order to utilise additional formatting in a text.
- Insert is used to insert an image or audio information in the message (see page 94).
