Siemens MBKVA5262A Series Installation Instructions

* Necessary changes for older 250A or 400A RP1 Panels:
NOTE: Perform these steps only if the panel does NOT list this kit for use.
(Perform these steps prior to following the installation instructions that start on page 2.)
1. Replace all four Deadfront Supports with one of these kits (per application):
For 250A Panels:
Feed-through Panels -- use kit P1DFS250AFT
NON-feed-through Panels -- use kit PDFS250ANFT
For 400A Panels:
All panels -- use kit P1DFS400A
NOTE: New Deadfront Supports are constructed of 8 gage steel (approximately 0.17" thick)

2. Replace any Main or Subfeed Blank Filler Plates that will remain AFTER the installation of this kit.
For 250A Panels Main or Subfeed Space -- use kit DFFP01B (Siemens part number 11-D-4612-01)
For 400A Panel Main Space -- use kit DFFP01C (Siemens part number 11-D-4600-01)

3. Replace all one inch Branch Filler Plates with DFFP1A (order as many as are needed)
(Do NOT use any other fillers such as QF3 or DFFP1. Although these may fit into the panel, they are not
suitable for use in this application.)

If it ends in an "N" or a "T" it is a "Revised P1" and is compatible with this kit.
(For example: P1E42MC250A is an Original P1; P1E42MC250AT is a Revised P1)

was manufactured (shown as Date on the rating label on the front of the deadfront):
BEFORE 2020: Panelboards REQUIRE installation of the kits noted on page 4 (deadfront supports, blank
fillers and branch filler plates) in addition to this kit (MBKVA5262A or MBKVA5262B)
AFTER 2020: This kit (MBKVA5262A or MBKVA5262B) should be used without the need of additional kits
WITHIN 2020: If kit (MBKVA5262A or MBKVA5262B):
Is NOT listed on the kit label (on the rear of the deadfront), follow the BEFORE 2020 instructions
Is listed on the kit label, follow the AFTER 2020 instructions
