3. Recommended Training for Technicians with imageRUNNER
ADVANCE 4500 III Certification
An optional online Hardware Update course is available that prepares
technicians who are currently certified on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE
4000, 4200, 4500, 4500 II, and 4500 III Series to setup and service the
imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 4700 Series devices.

C. Certification
Students must complete the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4000, 4200, and 4500
Training programs successfully, and pass the final assessment exam to sell
this product.
Note: Technicians with a previous certification on the imageRUNNER
ADVANCE DX 4700 Series, are automatically certified on the imageRUNNER
ADVANCE DX 4700 Series.
Certification includes the following devices:

• imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4051/4251/4551i II/4551i III
• imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4045/4245/4545i II/4545i III

• imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4025/4225/4525i II/4525i III
D. Who Should Attend
It is recommended that any technician responsible for installing, servicing, or
supporting the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 4700 Series machines, and
who have been certified on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4500 III Series
machines, successfully complete the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 4700
Series Online Hardware Update training course.
E. Course Format
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 4700 Series Online Hardware Update
course is a self-paced online course, which requires approximately 60 minutes
to complete.
