IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury
to persons, including the following:
1.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Metal parts can become hot. Use any handles or knobs.
3.
To protect against electrical shock, do not place cord, plug or appliance in water or other
liquid.
4.
This appliance should not be used by young children or incapacitated persons. Close
supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
5.
Oversize foods or metal utensils must not be inserted into a toaster oven as they may
create a fire or risk of electric shock.
6.
A fire may occur if the toaster oven is covered or touching flammable material, including
curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation. Do not store any item on top
of the appliance when in operation.
7.
Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical
parts involving a risk of electric shock.
8.
Extreme caution should be exercised when using containers constructed of other than
metal or glass.
9.
Do not store any materials, other than the manufacturers recommended accessories, in
this oven when not in use.
10. Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic, or any
other material that may catch fire or melt.
11. Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating
of the oven.
12. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on
or taking off parts.
13. To stop the heating cycle when the oven is on, press the Start/Stop power button.
Unplug from the wall outlet. Do not pull, twist or otherwise abuse cord.
14. Do not operate any electrical appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after appliance
malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to
nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
15. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.
16. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may result in fire, electrical shock or injury.
17. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
18. Do not let cord hang over edge of a table or countertop (where it can be accidentally
pulled) or touch hot surfaces.
19. Never operate any appliance on top of a non-heat-resistant or flammable surface. Do
not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven or
microwave.
20. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot
liquids. Use extreme caution when removing tray or disposing of hot grease.
21. This appliance is not intended for commercial or industrial use.
22. HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
