NOTE: The Orbcomm modem installed from the
factory on all new trucks may not be approved for
use in certain countries of the world. Local regulation
may prohibit the use of the Orbcomm modem/
satellite communicator.

VHMS DOWNLOADING

Downloading from inside the cab:
1. Turn the key switch to the ON position.
2. Connect the PLM download cable to PLM con-
nector (1). Connect the other end of the cable to
the RS232C port of the personal computer. If
necessary, use a USB adapter to connect.
Refer to Other Settings later in this chapter.
3. Download the data.
Downloading from the ground level download box:
1. Turn the key switch to the OFF position.
2. Open the download box on the LH bumper.
3. Move switch (2) inside the box to the ON posi-
tion. When display lamp (3) illuminates, the sys-
tem is ready to download.
4. After completion of downloading, return switch
(2) to the OFF position.
