1. The parking brake is engaged.
2. One or both control levers are down in the center,
unlocked position.
3. The PTO is engaged.
Testing the Safety-Interlock System
Service Interval: Before each use or daily
Test the safety-interlock system before you use the
machine each time.
Note: If the safety system does not operate as
described, have an Authorized Service Dealer repair
the safety-interlock system immediately.
1. Start the machine.
2. With both motion-control levers outward in the
Park position, press the On position on the PTO
switch.
Note: The mower blades should not engage.
3. Move 1 lever down to the center, unlocked
position and press the On position on the PTO
switch.
Note: The mower blades should engage.

4. Release the lever to the Park position.
Note: The blades should stop.
