304 Driving and parking
The windscreen is dirty in the area of the
R
multifunction camera, or the camera is mis‐
ted up, damaged or covered.
If the traffic signs are hard to detect, e.g. due
R
to dirt or snow, or because they are covered,
or due to insufficient lighting.
If the information in the navigation system's
R
digital map is incorrect or out-of-date.
The signs are ambiguous, e.g. traffic signs on
R
construction sites or in adjacent lanes.
If you turn sharply, you may pass traffic signs
R
that are outside the camera's field of vision.

activated for the automatic adoption of
speed limits.

Blind Spot Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist
use two lateral, rear-facing radar sensors to
monitor the area up to 40 m behind your vehicle
and 3 m directly next to your vehicle.
If a vehicle is detected at speeds above approx‐
imately 12 km/h and this vehicle subsequently
enters the monitoring range directly next to your
vehicle, the warning lamp in the outside mirror
lights up red.
