Driving and driving safety systems
Driving systems and your responsibility
Your vehicle is equipped with driving systems
which assist you in driving, parking and manoeu‐
vring the vehicle. The driving systems are aids
and do not relieve you of your responsibility per‐
taining to road traffic law. Pay attention to the
traffic conditions at all times and intervene
when necessary. Be aware of the limitations
regarding the safe use of these systems.
Information about radar sensors
Some driving and driving safety systems use
radar sensors to monitor the area in front of,
behind or next to the vehicle (depending on the
vehicle's equipment).
Depending on the vehicle's equipment, the radar
sensors are integrated behind the bumpers
and/or behind the Mercedes star. Keep these
parts free of dirt, ice and slush (
/
The sensors must not be covered, for example
by cycle racks, overhanging loads, stickers, foil
or foils to protect against stone chipping. In the
event of damage to the bumpers or radiator
grille, or following a collision impacting the
bumpers or radiator grille, have the function of
the radar sensors checked at a qualified special‐
ist workshop. The driving systems and driving
safety systems may no longer function properly
in such cases.
