Chapter 3 Basic Operations — Switching on/off the projector
Initial setting (date and time)
Set the local date and time.
After completed the initial setting, you can change the setting from the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [DATE
AND TIME].
To set the date and time automatically, refer to "Setting the date and time automatically" (x page 168).

Press as to select an item.

Press qw to switch the setting.
3)
Press the <ENTER> button.
f Confirm the setting value and complete the initial setting.

When the administrator account setting screen is displayed

When the projector is switched on for the first time after purchase, or when the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu →
[INITIALIZE] → [FACTORY RESET] is executed, the focus adjustment screen, the [INITIAL SETTING] screen,
and then the [ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT] screen is displayed in order after the projection starts. If the
[PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [INITIALIZE] → [NETWORK/E-MAIL ONLY] is executed, the [ADMINISTRATOR
ACCOUNT] screen is displayed after the projection starts.
When using the network function of the projector, set a user name and password of the administrator account. It
can be set later in the [NETWORK] menu → [ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT].
[PASSWORD POLICY]
Display a policy about the password of the administrator account.
1)
Press as to select [PASSWORD POLICY], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [PASSWORD POLICY] screen is displayed.
f Press the <MENU> button to return to the [ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT] screen.

PASSWORD POLICY
Reusing passwords is not recommended.
Password cannot be blank.
A password consisting of at least eight
half-width characters and contaning
characters of at least three of the
following four types is recommended.
Uppercase letters
Lowercase letters
Digits
Symbols (~!@#$%^&*()_+\|}{][<>.,/?`)
