These decals are provided for operator safety and maintenance information. The illustration below and on the next page shows these decals as they appear on the machine. Should any of these decals become unreadable, replacements can be obtained from your dealer.

  • Page 22 AR-13H RIDE-ON ROLLER — INSPECTION Battery Check A 12-volt DC battery (Figure 16) is shipped dry, and will require a proper electrolyte level for operation. ALWAYS be sure that the battery cables are properly connected to the battery terminals as shown below. Generally the RED cable will be connected to the positive terminal of the battery, and the BLACK cable will be connected to the negative terminal of the battery.

  • Page 26 AR-13H RIDE-ON ROLLER — MAINTENANCE HYDRAULIC OIL HYDRAULIC OIL Hydraulic Oil System CAP/FILLER PORT SUCTION FILTER The hydraulic system consists of a two pump stack directly coupled to the engine. A hydraulic valve block (manifold)is provided for quick and easy testing and troubleshooting. Hydraulic oil is filtered by a screen filter located in the tank filler neck, a 40 micron suction filter located in the tank, and a 10 micron return filter , with cold oil bypass valve located in the...

Park the machine on a solid flat surface and stop the engine. Set the parking brake and block the front drum securely . Start the engine and run at full throttle.

  • Page 34 AR-13H RIDE-ON ROLLER — MAINTENANCE Alternator/Regulator The AR-13H is equipped with a 20 amp charging system. This system uses three charge coils connected in parallel. The windings of each coil are wound with heave-duty insulated wire and are further protected by insulating material for long life. A voltage regulator is provided to control the amount of charge voltage being delivered to the 12 volt electrical system.

    AR-13H RIDE-ON ROLLER — PREPARATION FOR LONG-TERM STORAGE Roller Storage For storage of the roller for over 30 days, the following is recommended:  Drain the fuel tank completely, or add STA-BIL to the fuel.  Run the engine until the fuel in the injection system is completely consumed.
