    MC-UG775-00 3 REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS 3.1. Lower Plate Replacement 3.1.1. Removal 1. Before servicing any parts, disconnect vacuum from electrical outlet. 2. Place paper under nozzle whenever lower plate is removed to protect floor. 3. Place handle in upright position and turn vacuum over to expose lower plate.

    4. Clean agitator. 3.4.2. Installation 1. Loop new belt (Panasonic Type UB8 only) around motor shaft and agitator pulley; see illustration for correct belt routing. 2. Reinstall slide arc into end cap slots, as outlined in the Agitator Assembly Replacement section.

    MC-UG775-00 3.6. Power Cord Replacement 3.6.1. Removal 1. Remove the switch cover and dust cover to expose the electrical connections of the power cord. 2. Unplug and remove damaged switch from the handle grip. 3.5.2. Installation 1. Connect the two lead wires on the new switch and place it on the handle grip unit.

    MC-UG775-00 3. Once the carpet/bare floor pedal assembly is out it can be disassembled for parts replacement as shown in the Exploded View diagram. 3. Remove the three (3) screws that secure the handle release 3.8.2. Installation assembly to the nozzle housing.

    MC-UG775-00 packing. Place whole assembly dust compartment. 3. Rewire per the Pictorial Diagram. 4. Replace the nozzle housing as instructed in Handle Release Assembly sections and assemble the dust cover and switch cover. 5. Turn the vacuum back over and replace the belt, agitator assembly, and lower plate according to the respective installation instructions.
