3.3.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
This part contains some indications for a correct mechanical and
electrical installation.
For the environmental conditions, refer to user's manual heeds.
However try to avoid the maximum conditions indicated for
humidity, temperature, vibrations, electromagnetic interferences
and corrosive agents' presence.
3.3.1.
Preliminary Operations
The rack (in case of LCM 16PR) must be situated in such a way
that consent the comfortable plugging to the power supply, to the
DTEs and to the telephonic lines.
3.3.2.
Modem installation
Hereafter some indications for modem installation.
Take out the card from the packing and clean it from protection
material.
Check if there are any damages to the device. If yes, contact DIGICOM for
the necessary provisions.
Put the rack or the tabletop modem in the chosen place for installation and
proceed to the connections according to the following chapters.
3.3.3.
Electrical connections
Keep everything turned OFF. Then connect in the following sequence.
3.3.3.1. Main power supply connection
For tabletop modems: plug the power supply cord placed in the rear part of
the modem.
For rack modems: insert the card in one of slots of the chassis before plugging
the power supply cord of the rack.
