The DCD led lights on when the DCD is ON. It indicates that the carrier is
present.
In asynchronous mode, the C114 and C115 clocks are blocked to OFF and
therefore they are not present on V24 interface.
1.6.
POWER SUPPLY
The LCM16P modem in its tabletop version uses three values of DC power
12V, +5V, obtained by the main power.
The power supply transformer and the AC high voltage bipolar switch are
mechanically protected.
The device is protected against overtemperatures by a PTC fuse inside of the
transformer. It cannot be replaced by the user.
The LCM16PR modem in its rack version uses three values of continual power
+12V, -12V, +5V provided by the power supplier of the rack itself.

CCITT V54 RECOMMENDATION
This technical recommendation specifies the loop procedures, with the
possibility to address the "station", in the following type of data transmission
connections:
Synchronous transmission on point to point, multipoint and tandem leased
lines or on switched lines.
