11.3.1.4 FILTER DRIER
1. Whenever compressor is changed from system replace filter drier.
2. Turn off unit power supply.
3. Unscrew filter drier clamp.
4. Unbolted filter drier & replace it.
5. Reassemble unit.
11.3.1.5 REFRIGERANT SYSTEM
Leak testing
Quarterly check joints at valves / flare connections for leaks. In case of any leaks, repair leak and
evacuate and dehydrate unit before charging.
Refrigerant charge
Charging with unit off and Evacuated
Weight in specified charge open liquid line service valve (ensure the cylinder is upside down to make
sure only liquid is charge thru liquid line). Separate the cylinder from liquid valve along with hose.
Start unit and allow it to run several minutes fully loaded. Check for a clear liquid then Be sure, clear
condition is liquid and not vapor.
Charging with unit running
If charge is to be added while unit is operating, it is necessary to have all fans, blower and compressor
operating. Charge circuit until suction gauge shows 120 to 130 psig or liquid gauge shows 400 to 430
psig. Final adjustment may be done after stabilization of temperatures.
Do not overcharge, and never charge liquid into low-pressure (suction) side of system. If system is
charged through suction side, liquid refrigerant goes into compressor and gets mixed up with
compressor oil. When compressor is on, this liquid refrigerant mixed with compressor oil leads to
compressor oil washout and further results in compressor failure.
Observation
No display appearance on
