5. Adjustment procedures
■ Zoom ratio adjustment
(Only for models 266i/246i/226i)
(1) Display the Service Mode screen.
(For details of how to display the Service Mode
screen, see the service manual.)
(2) Touch "ADF."
(3) Touch "FD-Mag. Adj.(F)."
(4) Touch "Auto Adjust."
(5) Place the chart in the document feeding tray.
(Set the chart with the front side facing up, and
the arrow pointing to the left when viewing from
the front.)
(6) Press the Start key.
(7) Check that "Adjustment Result" is "OK" and
then touch "SET."
(8) Touch "END."
(9) Touch "FD-Mag. Adj.(B)."
(10) Touch "Auto Adjust."
(11) Place the chart in the document feeding tray.
(Set the chart with the front side facing up, and
the arrow pointing to the left when viewing from
the front.)
(12) Press the Start key.
(13) Check that "Adjustment Result" is "OK" and
then touch "SET."
(14) Touch "END."
■ Adjusting DF skew
● Measuring DF skew
(For models 266i/246i/226i)
(1) Touch "ADF automatic adjustment."
(2) Touch "Skew Measurement."
(3) Place the chart in the document feeding tray.
(Set the chart with the front side facing up, and
the arrow pointing to the left when viewing from
the front.)
(4) Press the Start key.
The measurement result will be displayed.
(5) Repeat operations from steps (3) to (4) four
more times. (Five times in total)
(6) Check the "Front" "Avg. Value."
Specifications: ± 0.5% or less
Note:
If the value falls within the specified range, pro-
ceed to "Attaching the original
If the value does not fall within the specified
range, perform "Adjusting DF
● Measuring DF skew
(For models 225i/215i/205i)
(1) Plug the power cord into the power outlet and
turn ON the main power switch.
(2) Check how the edges of the chart are mis-
aligned.
The amount of the deviation of the chart will be
X.
