Maintenance Schedule

The following schedule should be followed for normal care
of your unit. You will need to keep a record of your operating
time. Determining operating time is easily accomplished by
observing the hour meter.
For engine maintenance schedules and procedures, please
refer to the engine operator's manual.
UNIT MAINTENANCE
Every 8 Hours or Daily.*
Check the safety interlock system.
Clean debris off unit.**
Every 25 Hours or Annually.*
Check mower blade stopping time.
Check unit for loose hardware.
Check tire pressure.
Every 50 Hours or Annually.*
Check the unit's brakes.
Clean battery and cables.
See your Authorized Ferris® Servicing Dealer Annually to:
Lubricate the unit.
Check mower blades**
* Whichever comes first.
** More often in hot (over 85° F; 30° C) weather or dusty operating
conditions.
ENGINE MAINTENANCE
Every 8 Hours or Daily*
Check engine oil level.
Clean debris from engine compartment.**
Every 50 Hours
Check/Clean spark arrester.***
Refer to the Engine Operator's Manual:
Service air filter.
Change engine oil and filter.
Check/Replace spark plugs.
Check/Replace fuel filter.
* Whichever comes first.
** More often in hot (over 85° F; 30° C) weather or dusty operating
conditions.
*** If equipped, replace if damaged.
