Taking still pictures

You can take still pictures using either the monitor or the viewfinder. Both
methods are easy as all you have to do is to press the shutter button.
With the monitor, you can shoot while checking the picture area that the
camera actually records.

Slide the power switch to
pressing and holding the lock
button.
• The camera turns on in the shooting
mode.
• The lens extends and the monitor turns
on.

Decide the composition
while looking at the
image on the monitor.
• You can take pictures using
the viewfinder, with the
monitor turned off.
When the monitor is off, the
