8-7. Initializing the System
Dish Positioning
Provides the coordinates of elevation, azimuth, and tilt based upon your ZIP code. Elevation is
the up/ dow n angle of the dish. Azimuth is the side-to-side direction, w hile tilt is the circular
rotation of the dish itself around the pointing axis. Full instructions for the installation of your
dish are provided w ith your satellite dish antenna.
To enter your location:
1. Press the M ENU button on the Remote Control to display the on-screen menu.
2. Select the DIRECTV
3. Scroll dow n to Initial Setup using "
