Set the switches and jumpers for each new card pair (i.e., new TX-2000

and AG-T1/E1 card pair). Refer to
Appendix A
switch and IRQ jumper settings for the TX-2000 and AG-T1/E1 cards.
Note: Remember that these switch settings will be used later in the software
installation process.
The switches should be Up for the ON setting and Down for the OFF setting.
Install the new card pair(s) (i.e., new TX-2000 and AG-T1/E1 card pair).

Note: If you are upgrading from a 2-span to 3-span, a 2-span to 4-span, or a
3-span to 4-span, you will need to move already installed card pairs. These
card pairs will not need to be reconfigured. Refer to

Note: Make sure the gold edge (edge connector) is seated properly in the slot
groove and bracket. Install the next card in an adjacent slot.
Fasten the screws for each card pair installed.

Connect the MVIP bus cable to the connectors on the two cards. Make

sure pin 1 of the MVIP cable (marked with a red stripe) is on the side of
the connector away from the metal bracket and toward the front of the
system.
