Choke
To start a cold engine move lever to
"CHOKE" position and after engine has
started, gradually pull lever down to open
choke and allow engine to warm up at 1/2
throttle setting. (It should not be necessary to
choke a warm engine).
Throttle
Throttle lever controls engine speed. To increase engine
speed push forward, to decrease engine speed pull back.
Set Throttle approximately 1/3 of FAST position to start
engine and when engaging PTOs.
FAST
SLOW
Steering
Your tractor is equipped with Power Steering for easier
operation.
NOTE: When lifting attachment, Power Steering
momentarily requires greater steering effort due to
greater hydraulic system requirements. Release lever to
resume power to steering.
Speed Selector
The Speed Selector lever must be placed in
the neutral (N) position before engine will
start. Selector controls both tractor speed
and direction. Moving Speed Selector
forward from neutral (N) increases forward travel speed.
Moving Speed Selector backward from neutral (N)
increases reverse travel speed. In neutral (N) position,
hydrostatic system provides braking action to wheels.
IMPORTANT: The Speed Selector is sensitive to the
slightest movement. Because of the dynamic braking
characteristics of the hydrostatic transmission, move
Speed Selector slowly in normal operation.
Neutralizer Pedal
When Neutralizer Pedal is fully
depressed the Speed Selector returns
to neutral (N) and forward or reverse
motion of the tractor stops. The pedal is
an alternate to the Speed Selector for
slowing down or stopping.
IMPORTANT: Keep foot off Neutralizer Pedal except for
reducing speed or stopping. DO NOT use pedal and
Speed Selector simultaneously. Misadjustment of
hydrostatic linkage will result.
