Pre-Start
Before starting engine:
disengage PTO and set
parking brake.

Clear Area

before operation to
avoid thrown objects.
Clear the area of
objects such as rocks,
toys, wire etc., which
could be picked up and
thrown by the mower or
other attachment. Tall
grass or deep snow
can hide obstacles.
Be sure area is clear of
other people and pets
before operating. Stop
machine if anyone
enters the area.
Speed Ranges
DO NOT mow at too
fast a rate. DO NOT
change engine

Disengage PTO when
crossing hard surfaces

Be aware of the

not operate the tractor.
Have repaired prior to
use.
Cleaning and Storage
Keep machine free of
grass, leaves, or other
debris build up. Clean
up oil or fuel spillage.

inside a building with
fuel in the fuel tank
where any ignition
sources are present.

before extended

turn over if a wheel is
over edge of cliff or
ditch, or if an edge
caves in. DO NOT

Parking
Never leave a running
machine unattended.
ALWAYS turn off
attachment, set parking

remove keys to prevent
unauthorized use

operators position for

Reverse

reverse unless
absolutely necessary.
ALWAYS backup slowly.
ALWAYS look down
and behind before and
while backing.
Traction
If tires lose traction,
turn off PTO, and
proceed slowly straight
down slope. If you
cannot back up the
slope or feel uneasy, do
not mow it.
If you must stop when
going up slope and can
not safely back down,
disengage the PTO
switch, place travel
speed selector in
neutral, and depress
the brake pedal. Then
place travel speed
selector in low speed
and slowly release the
brake pedal.
DO NOT operate on
wet grass. Reduced
traction could cause
sliding.
Brake
Check Brake Operation
frequently. Adjust and
service as required.
