Dispensing coffee

Insert a capsule into the capsule
holder. Make sure to insert the
right capsule into the correct
capsule holder (the 1 or 2 spout
one);
Attach the capsule holder to the
dispensing group;
Place the cup under the dis-
pensing spout;
Press the desired dose button,
for example
and wait
for the coffee to finish being
dispensed;
To stop the coffee dispensing
ahead of time, press either
the
button or the
button;
Use the manual button
if push-button panel anomalies
occur or to continuously dis-
pense coffee.
Only use "LAVAZZA BLUE" capsules.
The capsules can only be used once.
When using small-sized cups, a specific raised cup grille (1) is
available.
To programme the dispensing procedure, see chapter "7.1 Coffee
doses" on page 49.
Do not remove the filter holder from the dispensing group when
coffee is being dispensed.
Do not insert your fingers or any other objects into the filter holder.

Dispensing with the steam wand

Immerse the steam nozzle in
the liquid to be heated;
Rotate the valve knob anti-
clockwise;
The quantity of steam will be
proportional to how much
the valve is open;
To stop dispensing, turn the
valve's knob clockwise.
Carefully move the steam nozzle
using the specific anti-scald rubber
grip (2).
Avoid contact with the steam nozzle,
do not place your hands or other body
parts near the steam nozzle tips.
Keep the tips clean at all times using a cloth dampened in
lukewarm water. To keep the steam nozzle tips in perfect working
order, perform a brief dry dispensing run after each use.
Before using the steam, carry out a dry run by dispensing steam

for a few seconds via the
water.
Only leave the steam wand immersed in the
milk for the time needed to heat it.
Do not immerse the nozzle in the milk and
switch it on when the machine is cold.
