1.4 Product improvements

SC-R5000/R5000L series are Epson first resin Large format printer.
This new 64-inch printer offers exceptional print performance and colour control thanks to the
PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead. Precise temperature control, which is monitored by four
temperature sensors, ensures colour is consistent from edge to edge and top to bottom.

Heating Technology : 3 Separate heater zones create a stable, normalized and

Newly designed three station heater (preheat / platen heat / post-cure heat).
• Advanced Auto Tension Control (Ad-ATC) for accurate and stable media feeding.
• Usability :
- User replaceable parts : user can replace print heads by themselve without calling
service (replacement takes only within 60 minutes without using any special tools).
- Bulk Ink solution : 1.5lt ink pouches for Medium print volume users and 2 X 1.5lt ink
pouches for High print volume users, supported by hot swap function.
- Hot swap function only for R5000L series (Users can replace new ink during printing).
- 4.3-inch LCD highly-intuitive touch panel
- Simple set up: Epson Edge Print RIP software makes it easy to set up and start
printing straightaway

Nozzle missing reduction by Intake fan, Media cleaner & NVT (Nozzle verification
technology).

Nozzle compensation function (Nozzle compensation is executed to realize continuous
printing)

New - Ultrasonic detector : Head rubbing by paper jam can be detected (this function
contribute to enhance head reliability).

User friendly 4.3 inch touch panel for intuitive operation and easy status check by
Signal lamp.

Ergonomics Design : Wide maintenance cover improve workability (operators can easily
