Connecting the Unit

Connecting by Thunderbolt

The Thunderbolt 2 port is enabled by default.
Notes:
• If the Thunderbolt 2 port is enabled, USB 3.0 and eSATA ports are disabled automatically.
• Connecting to Mac OS X devices (OS X 10.9 or later) is supported.
• The Thunderbolt 2 port cannot be used to connect to Windows computers.
Enabling Thunderbolt 2 Port

Use the included power cable and connect the unit to a outlet.

Open the front panel and turn the unit on while holding down the init button.
"ARRAY PARAMETERS SETTING!" will be displayed on the LCD panel.

Press the mode button 8 times and "Host Mode" is displayed on the LCD panel.

The messages under "Host Mode" may be different depending on your settings.

If "Host Mode Thunderbolt 2" is displayed, the Thunderbolt 2 port has been enabled already.

If "Host Mode eSATA Enabled" or "Host eSATA Disabled" is displayed, press the select button to change the
settings.

Press the mode and select buttons on the front panel at the same time.
The settings will be configured.

Turn the unit off and then on when "POWER DOWN PLEASE!" is displayed on the LCD panel.

Connecting the Unit to a Computer

Connect the unit and computer using a Thunderbolt cable.
