PREPARING THE ICE MAKER FOR LONG STORAGE

If the ice maker will not be used for a long time, or if you intend to move it to
another location, you will need to drain out all the water in the system.
1. Allow all existing ice cubes to be ejected from the evaporator of the ice
maker.
2. Turn off the unit and unplug the power cord.
3. Shut off the water supply at the main water source.
4. Disconnect the water supply hose from the water inlet valve.
5. Remove the water drainpipe from the water tank (indicated by "H" in the
above illustration) to drain the water from the water tank. When all water
has been drained out, reinstall the drainpipe in the water tank.
6. Drain out all water from the water drain port located at the back of the
unit (indicated by "7" in the above illustration).
7. Disconnect the water drainpipe from the main drain pipeline or floor drain,
and reinstall the drain cap.
8. Leave the unit door open to allow for air circulation and to prevent mold
and mildew growth.
9. Leave water supply hose and power cord disconnected until unit is ready
for continued use.
10. Dry the interior and wipe the outside of the unit.
11. Once the unit has been dried completely, place a large plastic bag over the
unit to prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt.
