    Reference Manual 00809-0100-4802, Rev BA Rosemount 3051S Wireless Series August 2007 COMMISSIONING ON Commissioning consists of testing the transmitter and verifying transmitter configuration data. 3051S Wireless transmitters can be commissioned either THE BENCH WITH HART before or after installation. Commissioning the transmitter on the bench before installation using a 375 Field Communicator or AMS ensures that all transmitter components are in working order.

PROCEDURES Process Flange Orientation Mount the process flanges with sufficient clearance for process connections. For safety reasons, place the drain/vent valves so the process fluid is directed away from possible human contact when the vents are used.

There are five possible sources of error: leaks, friction loss (particularly if purging is used), trapped gas in a liquid line, liquid in a gas line, and density variations between the legs.

Replace them if there are any signs of damage, such as nicks or cuts. If you replace the O-rings, re-torque the flange bolts after installation to compensate for cold flow.

The battery supplies all power to the transmitter. Plug and seal both conduit connections on the transmitter housing to avoid moisture accumulation in the terminal side.

The Network ID and Join Key in the device must match that of the 1420 Wireless Gateway. The Network ID and Join Key may be obtained from the 1420 Wireless Gateway on the Setup>Network>Settings page on the web server.
