Viewing the Status of Sent Text Messages

Text messages that you send are stored in the outbox.

Find the Feature
Messages in the outbox are sorted from newest to oldest. The
following indicators show message status:
á = sending in progress
= sending failed
m

Receiving a Text Message

Note: Your text message inbox must be set up before you can
receive text messages. See page 64.
When you receive a text message, your phone displays the
(message waiting) indicator and a
gives an alert.

( ) open the message (or your text
message inbox if there are
multiple messages)
If reminders are turned on, your phone sends a reminder at regular
intervals until you close the new message notification, read the
message, or turn off your phone.
When your phone displays
existing messages to receive new messages.
