Your phone keeps a record of your missed calls, and
shows X Missed Calls, where X is the number of missed
calls.

You can change how you answer a call:

> Settings > In-Call Setup > Answer Options
Multi-Key Answer by pressing any key.
Open To Answer Answer by opening the phone.
Tip: You can press the volume keys to silence the
ringer for the incoming call. Press and hold the smart
key to ignore a call and send it to voicemail.
