Turning On Your i 500 plus
Press the On/Off button
display. Next, a welcome message displays while the i 500 plus
connects to your carrierÕs network.
The LED indicator on the i 500 plus shows the service state. See
Table 2 .

Solid Red No serviceÑyour i 500 plus cannot sign on because it
is outside your carrierÕs service area.
Flashing In serviceÑyour i500plus is ready to use.
Green You can now place and receive calls.
Solid Green In useÑyour i500plus is currently being used.
To make sure that you ended the last call,
press
Turning Off Your i 500 plus
Press and hold the On/Off button
ÒPowering OffÓ.

Keypad Lock

The i500plus includes a Keypad Lock feature that enables you to
quickly lock the phoneÕs keypad to avoid inadvertently pressing keys
or placing calls. Once Keypad Lock is activated, you can only
perform the following tasks (unless you receive an incoming call,
page, etc.):
¥ Turn your phone On/Off
¥ Unlock the keypad
until a set of icons appears on your
i 500 plus Phone Status
