6-3-4-12. EF Balance

Note:
• Before performing electrical block checks, solder a lead wire to
TP RF (CL428), TP VC (CL403), and TP TE (CL407) of the MA-
C22 board.
• Chuck the disk (YEDS-18) beforehand.
• Refer to 6-3-4-1. and set the test mode.
• Insert a SONY test disc (YEDS-18) into the test drive.
1. Connect the oscilloscope to TP TE (CL407) and TP VC (CL403)
of the MA-C22 board.
2. Set the COMMAND SW of the controller to INITIALIZE and
press the TEST button.

3. Set the COMMAND SW of the controller to x1 speed, and press
the TEST button.

4. Set the COMMAND SW of the controller to Play Audio (23'47"),
and press the TEST button.

5. Set the COMMAND SW of the controller to tracking off, and
press the TEST button.

6. The oscilloscope waveform should be symmetrical at the top and
bottom in respect to 0V (VC).
Check that the DC voltage A is within ±0.125V from 0V (VC).

7. After adjusting, set the COMMAND SW of the controller to track-
ing on, and press the TEST button.
