7 Malfunctions
Depending on the operating conditions, check the valve at certain intervals to prevent possi-
ble failure before it can occur. Operators are responsible for drawing up an inspection and
test plan.
Faults
Solenoid valve does not switch
The solenoid valve leaks to the
atmosphere

Possible reasons
Spool in the enclosure is
blocked
Insufficient pilot pressure
O-rings slipped
Pilot pressure is insufficient and
an intermediate position is
reached (air is constantly vent-
ed)
Recommended action
Contact SAMSON.
Check the pressure line.
Check the pressure line for leak-
age.
Use a larger cross-section for
the pressure line.
Check that the O-rings are cor-
rectly seated.
