Assemble the shift rod
(SNWB-337; SNWB-208; SNWB-163)
1.
Remove the screw and nut (j) and flat washer
from the lower shift rod (h) and slide the lower shift
rod through the shift arm. Insert the flat washer
removed earlier and secure with the screw and nut
(j) removed earlier.
2.
Remove the screw and nut (j) and flat washer from
the upper shift rod (g). Slide the shift rod connector
(i) down over the end of the lower shift rod (h). Tap
the connector (i) until it locks on the lower shift rod
(h). Insert the flat washer removed earlier and secure
with the screw and nut (j) removed earlier.
NOTE: If the connector is not properly assembled,
the shift rod will pivot and you will not be able to
change speeds or change directions.
Assemble the Discharge Chute
1.
Loose and remove the hex washer screw and flat
washer from the chute chassis.
2.
Push parallel the discharge chute (6) into the
chute seat as Fig.
3.
Put the hex washer screw into the hole of the
discharge chute, fasten it clockwise.
Attaching Chute Directional Control
1.
Remove the screw and nut (j) from the upper
chute rod (k). Slide the upper chute rod through
the upper chute rod bracket (m) and into the lower
chute rod (l). A pair of pliers may help in this job.
2.
Align the two holes on both chute rods and
insert the screw and nut (j) removed earlier, through
these holes.

Operating your snow thrower

Before starting
WARNING: Read, understand, and follow
all instructions and warnings on the
machine and in this manual before
operating.
Gas and oil fill-up
Service the engine with gasoline and oil as instructed
in the separate engine manual packed with your
snow thrower. Read instructions carefully.

WARNING: Use extreme care when
handing gasoline. Gasoline is extremely
flammable and the vapors are explosive.
Never fuel machine indoors or while the
engine is hot or running. Extinguish cigarettes.
cigars, pipes and other sources of ignition.
A plastic cup may be provided inside the fuel fill
opening to protect the tank during manufacturing.
Remove and discard.
Use the threaded fuel tank cap (15) to close after
fill-up.
To Start Engine
(SNWB-163)
To start engine , follow below instructions,
NOTE: Make certain the auger (1) and drive
controls (4) are in the disengaged (up) position
before starting engine.
1.
Set ON/FF switch (22) on the engine to ON
position.
2.
Push primer button (18) two or three times. If
engine is warm, push primmer button once only.
3.
Move ON/OFF lever (17) on the engine to ON
position.
4.
Move CHOKE/RUN (20) button on the engine to
CHOKE position.
5.
Grasp start handle (21) and pull rope out slowly
until it pulls slightly harder. Let rope rewind slowly.
Pull starter handle (21) rapidly .Do not allow handle
to snap back. Allow it to rewind slowly while
keeping a firm hold on the starter handle. Repeat
the previous steps until engine starts. After engine
starts, move CHOKE/RUN button to RUN position.
NOTE: Always cover vent hole in primer button
(18) when pushing. Additional priming may be
necessary for first start if temperature is -9°C
(SNWB-208)
To start engine , follow below instructions,
NOTE: Make certain the auger (1) and drive
controls (4) are in disengaged (up) position.
Check and make sure Throttle Control (19) is NOT
on "Stop" position. If the control is on "Stop" position,
move the lever towards "Run" position.
Insert ignition key (16) into slot and snap in
place.
Recoil Starter
To start the engine manually, proceed as follows,
1.
Move CHOKE/RUN lever (20) on the engine
to "CHOKE" position(cold engine start). If engine
is warm, move CHOKE/RUN button (20) to "Run"
position instead of "CHOKE" position.
2.
Grasp start handle (21) and pull rope out slowly
until it pulls slightly harder. Let rope rewind slowly.
