9.1.7. Registering a Handset to the Base Unit
The supplied handset and base unit are pre-registered. If for some reason the
handset is not registered to the base unit (for example, _ is displayed even when
the handset is near the base unit), re-register the handset.

L While registering, "Base in registering" is displayed on all registered
handsets.
L When you purchase an additional handset, refer to the additional handset's
installation manual for registration.
9.1.8. Deregistering a Handset
A handset can cancel its own registration (or the registration of another handset)
that is stored to the base unit. This allows the handset to end its wireless connection
with the system.

Press and hold {x} for about 5 seconds, until the registration tone sounds.
L If all registered handsets start ringing, press the same button to stop. Then
repeat this step.
L The next step must be completed within 90 seconds.
Wait until "Base PIN" is displayed.i Enter the base unit PIN (default: "0000").

L When the handset has been registered successfully, w is displayed.
L All handsets registered to the base unit are displayed.
L A confirmation tone sounds.
L The handset does not beep when cancelling its own registration.
