6.3

Router mode

If you want to set up WAN connections for one or multiple services on the ONT, and access the
WAN connection through both the Wi-Fi networks of the ONT and LAN ports, you can set the ONT
to router mode. Based on the information provided by your ISP, you need to complete different
configurations on the web UI.
6.3.1

Set up a fixed IP connection

When your ISP provides fixed IP address (IPv4 or IPv6, or both) information, which may include the
IP address, subnet mask and DNS server, you can set up a fixed IP connection.
Configuring procedure:
Step 1
Log in to the web UI of the ONT.
Step 2
Choose WAN > PON WAN.
Step 3
Set Channel Mode to IPoE.
Step 4
Set other common WAN parameters as required by your ISP.
Step 5
Configure WAN IP Settings or/and IPv6 WAN Setting based on the IP protocol you choose.
In the WAN IP Settings part, set Type to Fixed IP and configure other parameters as
required.
In the IPv6 WAN Setting part, set Address Mode to Static and configure other
parameters as required.
