    Lorex Client 2.0 Software - Main Screen Lorex Client 2.0 Software - Main Screen The Lorex Client allows you to remotely connect to your system, and view live images. NOTE: Remote viewing or playback is dependant on your connection speed, internet traffic and other network factors - the speed is normally 1~2 FPS (frames per second).

    Setup & Configuration Menu Setup & Configuration Menu The Setup Menu contains the information to allow the user to remotely connect to the Observation System. IP/PORT Tab 1. NAME - Enter a name for the Observation System Connection (i.e. System, Office, etc.) 2.

    Remote Playback Interface The Remote Playback interface allows the software to playback previously recorded video from the Observation System. NOTE: You must have an active connection to the Observation System before the Remote Playback will function. Remote playback is dependant on your connection speed, internet traffic and other network factors - the speed is normally 1~2 FPS (frames per second).
  • Page 14 • RECORD - Save the current onscreen video as a AVI file to the local PC. • PRINT - Prints the current onscreen image (when playback is paused). • EVENT - Displays the Event List from the DVR. Event items can be selected for playback. 9. EXIT- Closes the Lorex Client 2.0 software.

    The L15LD400 Series Observation System can be remotely controlled using your existing network and the Lorex Client 2.0 software. Recording times may vary - please use the Recording Calcula- tor provided with the CD to find an aproximate recording time calculation.

    Remote Access with the DDNS Service IP & MAC Address 1. Access the Main Menu Setup screens, and navigate to the SYSTEM MENU - EXTERNAL DEVICE - TCP/IP SETUP - IP SETUP option. 2. Record the MAC Address of your system. This information is NECESSARY for the DDNS Setup process.

    Router Port Forwarding You will need to enable port forwarding on your Router to allow for external communications with your Observation System for port: • PORT 50000 Computers, Observation Systems, and other devices inside your network can only communicate directly with each other within the internal network. Computers and systems outside your network cannot directly communicate with these devices.

    Setting Up Your DDNS Account Lorex offers a free DDNS service for use with your System. A DDNS account allows you to set up a web site address that points back to your Local Network. The following outlines how to set up your free DNS account.
