CONFIGURATION/IP OPTIONS
The ISU 512e contains an IP stack to host SNMP and Telnet through
the 10BaseT Ethernet port. The IP menu is used to set up the IP param-
eters for the ISU 512e. Any general IP-related configuration item is un-
der this menu. Figure 6-6 shows the C

IP/IP Address
The IP address assigned to the ISU 512e's Ethernet port is set here.
This address must be unique within the network. The factory default
is 10.0.0.1.
IP/Subnet Mask
The IP network mask to be applied to the ISU 512e's Ethernet port is
set here. The factory default is 255.255.255.0.
IP/Default Gateway
The default gateway is used by the ISU 512e for sending IP packets
whose destination address is not found in the route table. If the ad-
dress entered is not on the Ethernet segment, then an "idle route" en-
try is added to the route table.
