    Danish Interpretation Systems Introduction This manual describes how to design a DCS 6000 Conference system using the SW 6000 Software Packages, how to install the SW 6000 Software Packages and how to setup the system for running the first time.

    Danish Interpretation Systems Preparations before installation Before you start installation of the SW 6000 Software Package you must ensure that you have installed the following software: Operating Systems: Windows 2000 Professional or Windows Server 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later, Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1.

If no license file is found, the license file is invalid or the license is expired this will be displayed using a message box on the PC running the CUI interface and a system message will also be sent to CUA computers that have system message monitoring capabilities.

    Danish Interpretation Systems Installation Installing the Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE) To install the Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE) you should run the set-up application found on the SW 6000 CD-ROM. This set-up application performs a standard set-up for MSDE, as provided by Microsoft. To install the Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine: On the SW 6000 CD-ROM, open the folder ‘1.MSDE Installation’.

    Danish Interpretation Systems Installing the SW 6000 Database When you have installed MSDE or Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (SQL Server) you must create on or more databases (set of data) inside the database engine. The installation program will create one or more databases inside the selected database engine with initial data. Prior to installation Prior to the installation of the conference database, the following information should be available to the installer.

And install from .NET Framework Version 1.1 After .NET Framework installation completes, repeat the conference database installation at step 1 again.

    Danish Interpretation Systems Installing the CUI - CU Interface You must install the CU Interface application (CUI) on the computer, which is connected to the CU 6010 Central Units by the RS232 cable. The CUI is the interface between the user application SW 6000 Database and the CU 6010. This installation will install the CUI application files and communication software for sending data to the CU 6010.

To install the Conference User Application (CUA): On the SW 6000 CD-ROM, open the folder ‘4.CUA Conference User Application’. Double-click on the file ‘Setup.Exe’ Welcome page.

    Danish Interpretation Systems Customer logo The DIS logo in the CUA application can be exchanged with a customer logo. Do the following: Open the file "CUA logo background.bmp" with a graphics-editing program like ‘MS Paint’. The file is found on the SW 6000 CD-ROM in the folder ‘SW6000 Accessories\Customer logos’. The image in the file has the same colour as the background for the CUA application.

    Danish Interpretation Systems Creating Multiple Halls Definitions If your CUA or CAA shall have access to monitor more Conference halls you must check the checkbox ‘Create Hall Definitions’ when prompted during installation of the CUA, CAA or CUI. This checkbox should also be checked when installing more than one CUI on one machine for controlling more conference halls from one computer.
