A typical FC-2000 control panel is illustrated in Figure 1; your system may have more or fewer modules depending on your requirements. All systems have a Central Processor Unit (CPU) Module, located in the top left position, and at least one initiating module.

  • Page 5 PWD # progmkey CPU-2000 Central Processor Module This module is the heart of the FC-2000. It controls and monitors the system modules and provides a full accounting of system status. In addition, the CPU contains two indicating appliance circuits, a remote signaling municipal tie circuit, and Form-C alarm and trouble contacts.

  • Page 9 AIM-200 Addressable Intelligent Module The AIM-200 Addressable Intelligent Module serves as an interface between the FC-2000 and intelligent/addressable devices. To the CPU, the AIM-200 looks like an IZM-8 Initiating Zone Module. On its single SLC circuit, the AIM-200 can communicate with up to 99 intelligent detectors (1551J, 2551J, and 5551J) and 99 addressable modules (M500MJ, M501MJ, M502MJ, M510CJ, and BGX-101L).

    Equipment used in the system may not be technically compatible with the control. It is essential to use only equipment listed for service with your Johnson Controls fire controller. Telephone lines needed to transmit alarm signals from a premise to a central monitoring station may be out of service or temporarily disabled.
