EQUIPMENT OVERVIEW: APEX Oximeter Accessory
An optional accessory to the Apex S transmitter is the APEX Oximeter
attachment as shown below.
Do the following to connect the APEX oximeter to the APEX S
transmitter.
1. Connect the SpO
sensor end of the probe into the 9-pin connector on the top of the
APEX oximeter.
2. Connect the supplied interconnection cable to the APEX oximeter 5-
pin connector labeled INT (interface).
3. Connect the other end of the supplied interconnection cable to APEX
S transmitter 5-pin connector labeled INT (interface).
NOTE
You must connect the APEX Oximeter to a transmitter
labeled APEX S. The APEX Oximeter does not function
with transmitters labelled APEX 3 or APEX 5.
The battery compartment cover is located on the bottom of the APEX
oximeter. Once the cover has been opened, two AA alkaline batteries are
installed in the transmitter.
