Switching Screen Modes
With your Echo's Simul-Task mode, you can
run two different applications at the same time,
one in each display screen. Simul-Task works
with many of your most commonly used
applications: Browser, Contacts, Email,
Gallery, Messaging, Phone, and VueQue. You
can switch applications from one screen to the
other or maximize one Simul-Task application
across both displays.
To use Simul-Task:
1. Launch an application compatible with
Simul-Task (Browser, Contacts, Email,
Gallery, Messaging, Phone, or VueQue).
2. Tap OK in the message that appears in
the lower screen.
3. Tap both screens at the same time.
4. Tap a second application in either screen.
5. The second application will launch in the
screen you tapped, and you can use each
application independently of the other.
To switch screens:
1. Tap both screens at the same time.
2. Tap
, which is centered between the
two screens.
To extend one application across
both screens (Tablet mode):
1. Touch both screens at the same time. (Icons
for Simul-Task applications appear on both
screens.)
2. Tap the icon for the currently-running
application you want to maximize.
To exit Simul-Task mode:

Make Your First Phone Call

keypad. (The number will appear just
above the keypad as you enter it. Tap
delete one or more digits.)

Answer an Incoming Call
• Make sure your device is on. (If your device
is off, incoming calls go to voicemail.)
• On the incoming call screen, flick the
Answer icon

Ignore an Incoming Call
