5.1
Status Data
The GGC001 produces a total of 96 bits (12 bytes) to supply status information to the
controlling PROFINET Controller. When ultimately controlled by an RX3i PLC, these
reference bits consume a total of 96 reference address bits in %I memory. The 96 bits consist
of
•
32 bits related to the operation of the GCG001 itself - referred to in PME as Gateway
Status Data, and
•
32 bits related to the online status of the Genius bus which it controls – referred to as
Genius Status Data in PME, and
•
32 bits related to any faults that are associated with a device – referred to as Fault Status
Data in PME.
Each bank of 32 bits must be assigned a different set of Input reference addresses in RX3i
memory.
For each bank of 32 status bits, a default beginning reference (the next available %I) for the
status bits is automatically assigned by PME. These assignments may be changed by clicking
on the GCG001 and keying in different %I reference.
5.1.1
Gateway Status Data
For the Genius Gateway GCG001, the thirty-two bits in the Gateway Status Data are
organized as follows, beginning at the first %I status reference assigned to this bank of 32:
