Important Safety Instructions When using your portable phone amplifier, always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons, or property, including the following: 1.Read and understand all instructions, warnings and product markings. 2.Be aware there is a slight possibility of electrical shock from lightening. -

Power Requirements Your IL30/IL40 is powered by a 9V battery (not included). Install a 9V battery in the battery compartment prior to operation. NOTE: Insert the battery with the (+) side going between the guard posts in the battery compartment. The (-) side (larger of the two con- nectors on the battery) must be on the top. -

Operation Volume Control You can adjust the volume level by using the Volume Control Slide located on the top of the unit (left control). Pushing the slide up increases the volume. Tone Control You can adjust the tone by using the Tone Control Switch lo- cated on the top of the unit (right control). -

Troubleshooting If after installing your IL40/IL30 Amplifier, you do not have a dial tone or the person you called cannot hear you, take the following steps: 1. Check that all connections are plugged in properly 2. Make sure a new battery is installed. 3. -

Regulatory Compliance Part 68 of FCC Rules Information This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the requirements adopted by the ACTA. Within a period of one year from purchase date, ClearSounds Communications will repair or replace (our discretion) your IL30/ IL40 Portable Telephone Amplifier at no cost. If we elect to replace your amplifier, we may replace it with a new or reconditioned prod- uct of the same or similar design.
