Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance
Assist uses the rear corner radars to help
detect vehicles approaching from the left
or right while your vehicle is reversing,
and to warn you that a collision is
imminent with a warning message and
an audible warning. Braking may also be
assisted to avoid a collision.

The warning timing may differ depending
on the speed of the detected vehicle.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-
Avoidance Assist Settings
Rear Cross-Traffic Safety
With the ignition switch ON, go to User
Settings > Driver Assistance > Parking
Safety > Rear Cross-Traffic Safety (for
cluster type) or Setup > Vehicle > Driver

Assistance > Parking Safety > Rear
Cross-Traffic Safety (for infotainment
system type) from the Settings menu
to turn Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-
Avoidance Assist on and off.
WARNING
When the engine is restarted, the Rear
Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist
turns on. If Off is selected after the
engine is restarted, Rear Cross-Traffic
Collision-Avoidance Assist does not
function until the next time your vehicle
is started.
