LICENSE TYPES AND CATEGORIES

Both applications and options allow to use additional functions in the equipment.
Functions of the applications can be used in the equipment by installing them from TopAccess and
activating their licenses. Functions of the options can be used in the equipment by activating their
licenses by means of [37 LICENSE MANAGEMENT] or by the electronic key.

Types and Categories

There are following types and categories in the licenses.
Type Description
Node This can be used only for one
unit of the equipment.
Subnet This can be used in multiple
units of the equipment whose
1st to 3rd octets of the IP
address are the same.
Domain This can be used in multiple
units of the equipment with the
same domain.
2.2

Setting of the Trial License and the Term License

For the Trial License and the Term License, a caution icon is displayed on the License Management
screen when a period of use is close to its end date. The timing to display the icon can be set by the
following code.

Description
There is no limitation in the use term.
The functions can be used for a certain period of
time. The time when the license has been
activated becomes the start date.
The functions are activated temporarily for the
trial use before purchasing the applications with
the trial license.
